Valentine’s Day always sneaks up on us, and somehow reservations fill up fast. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels special but still comfortable and Ozarks-authentic, these are five spots I will always recommend. Whether you’re planning something dressy or keeping it low-key, you really can’t go wrong with any of these.

The Table
The Table is one of my favorite new places for a cozy but elevated dinner. It feels warm and inviting, and the food is always thoughtful and seasonal. It’s perfect if you want a place that feels special without feeling overly formal. For their first Valentines Day, they are hosting a reservations-only dinner at 4, 6, and 8pm.

Bruno’s Italian Restaurant
If you’re in the mood for classic Italian and a true date-night vibe, Bruno’s is always a solid choice. It’s intimate, a little dim, and feels like the kind of place you can linger over dinner. It’s also located downtown near some of Springfield’s best date night activities. Pasta, wine, dessert, and good conversation- that’s all you need!

The Metropolitan Grill
For a more classic steakhouse date night, The Metropolitan Grill is such a go-to. It has that timeless, dress-up-and-go-out feel without being stuffy. If your Valentine loves a great steak or seafood dinner, this is the place. It’s a little more traditional and always consistent.

The Mill
Located in Ozark, The Mill is such a hidden gem for date night. It feels relaxed but still elevated which I love! The menu is creative without being overwhelming, and the atmosphere is perfect for a slower, more intentional evening. The Mill (as part of Finley Farms) is celebrating Valentine’s all weekend — February 7–15 — with special dinner options, seasonal treats, cocktails, and more. If you’re south of Springfield, this one is worth the drive.

Cellar 417
If you’re planning a Branson date night, Cellar 417 is such a great option! It has a romantic, tucked-away feel that makes the night feel extra special. The food is beautifully done and perfect for celebrating something meaningful, and it’s ideal if you’re making a whole evening out of it!

Wherever you end up, I hope it’s slow, intentional, and full of good conversation. The Ozarks has so many special spots, and Valentine’s Day is just a good excuse to try one of them.
