Gillioz 100: The Centennial Celebration

Gillioz 100: The Centennial Celebration marks a once in a lifetime milestone for one of Springfield’s most treasured landmarks. On October 11, 2026, the historic Gillioz Theatre celebrates exactly 100 years since opening its doors on Route 66, and 20 years to the day since its 2006 reopening. The free afternoon party honors a century of music, comedy and film with vintage silent films, live performances from resident companies like the Missouri Jazz Orchestra and Ozark Lyric Opera, and of course, birthday cake.

Gillioz 100 is Sunday, October 11 at the Gillioz Theatre, 325 Park Central East in downtown Springfield. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the show starts at 2 p.m. Admission is free, but seating is limited, so reserve your tickets through the Gillioz box office (Hours M-Fri 10:00AM – 4:00 PM) or call 417-863-9491 to reserve.
