Apple Butter Makin’ Days
October 9 at 9:00 am - October 11 at 4:00 pm
FREE
Apple Butter Makin’ Days celebrates its 60th year on the Lawrence County courthouse square in Mt. Vernon, and it’s one of Missouri’s most popular fall festivals. Watch apple butter being stirred the old-fashioned way in copper kettles, then wander through 450+ food and craft booths.
Families will love the KidZone, wiener dog races, pedal tractor races, a terrapin race, the pet parade, and bubble gum blowing and apple pie eating contests. Don’t miss the big parade on Saturday, October 10 at 9 a.m. The festival runs Friday at 9 a.m. through Sunday at 4 p.m., and admission is free. See more on their website.
